Lainey got a SERIOUS SHINER.
She bonked her eye on something at the park. Tough kid though, she's been icing it and hasn't complained much.
Today was a great day. Matt and I were both home, so we cleaned and ran errands together. He spent the afternoon outside mowing and cleaning up the yard.
I made PUMPKIN BARS and prepared a nice dinner for the family.
Then, we remembered that Alaina started swimming lessons tonight, so we ran over there for awhile. I have TWO AMAZING FALL RECIPES to share with you, both filled our bellies tonite! First, you have to make these pumpkin bars-SO good! They make the house smell delicious too:) Next, some Sweet Potatoes from CuisineNie.
SO, tomorrow is THE BIG DAY!!! Baby #2 will make her appearance into the world by noon. Kinda weird scheduling a C-Section this time, but was definitely able to plan ahead more than the surprise C-Section I had with Lainey. I'm a little nervous...I think we'll all feel a lot better when the surgery is over and we can focus on our sweet little baby girl:)
Anyways, I can hardly believe it's been two years since we started trying for this little bundle. After lots of struggles and too many losses, tomorrow SHE will be here! What a bleassing to our family, truly our little miracle. Cannot wait to see her face and touch her tiny toes.
Everyone keeps telling me that going from ONE child to TWO children is the hardest transition. I'm a little scared, not gonna lie, but WE ARE READY to take on this new challenge and SO grateful for the opportunity to be parents again. Miss Alaina is SUPER excited to be a big sister, hope that sticks once the little one is here:)
I know the next few months will be hard. Struggling to find our new "normal" and adjusting to life with more people to care for. BUT, that's what I love to do. I love taking care of my family. Making dinner, doing laundry, managing the household, that to me is true fulfillment...the things that go unnoticed. I have to give my husband A LOT of credit. He is a huge support, especially in times of trial and transition. Poor guy has to take care of his THREE LADIES for the next three weeks, so say a little prayer for him, it'll be a big job!
STAY TUNED>>>

all the best for a safe arrival of your new little bundle. I think having number 3 was harder then number 2. this time around at least you kind of know what is happening.

Wishing you all the best on your big day! Having baby #2 home at first is a little over whelming but soon you will settle into a pattern and then you won't be able to remember what life was like before two kids...trust me! :0)
